Ages: Grades 5th - 7th
Skill Level: All players will have been drafted onto a team. Accomplished in fielding, hitting, running and catching. Intermediate to advanced understanding of Fast Pitch game.
Equipment Needed: Softball glove (11 ½” – 12 ½”). Recommend rubber cleats.
Goals: Improvement in fielding techniques, base running, and consistently hitting pitched balls. Proper tagging and base running techniques will be encouraged during the season, as will bunting and hitting. Understanding of more than one position will be emphasized.
Game/Practice Days: Monday through Thursday, Saturday
Notes: All softball players will be requried to wear a batting helmet with approved face mask. The EYBS league provides these but parents purchasing batting helmets for their daughters must comply with this rule. No exceptions. Any questions or concerns please contact the Softball Player Agent.
If you are a 7th grader that is 13 before 12/31/09 you may play in league but you are not eligible for the 12U Tournament/All Star Team as you are too old.
Some teams may travel to Cle Elum for a game.
